Dr. Sundareson received her doctorate in Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 1994 and was licensed in the State of California in 1996. Eduardo 'Ed' Waiskopf, LMFT, is the Guidance Center's Clinical Director. A seasoned clinician, Ed earned a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina in 1988, where he began his career as a mental health professional, and he obtained his license as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California. His areas of expertise include working with victims of domestic violence as well as individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism.
With close to 20 years of community mental health experience, Ed holds the belief that no one should suffer with a mental illness that prevents him or her from having a successful life and lack of resources should not prevent access to help. This philosophy has guided him throughout his career. Since moving from Buenos Aires to Los Angeles in 1994, Ed has worked for several non-profit social services and community mental health organizations. Ed is committed to helping the most vulnerable members of our community: foster children and children with developmental disabilities. In addition to his role as Clinical Director for the Center, he continues to provide direct services to developmentally delayed children and their families.
As Clinical Director, Ed provides support to the Center's programs (both line staff and managers) in their mission as service providers. His vision is to continue to guide clinical programs through planned, thoughtful growth while maintaining high-quality mental health services and maintaining financial stability.
