Employment :: Training and Internship Program
As part of our mission, we are dedicated to meeting the growing mental health needs of underserved communities by providing internship and training programs for mental health professionals interested in pursuing careers in a community mental health setting. We offer specialized intern training programs for clinical social workers and marriage and family therapy trainees. We also offer a program for predoctoral psychology interns in community-clinical psychology which is accredited by the American Psychology Association.
For information regarding our Predoctoral Training Program, please read our brochure or contact our Predoctoral Training Program Assistant at 562-485-2277 or spate@tgclb.org.
If you are applying for our internship program, you must fill out The Guidance Center's Experience Summary Form. The Experience Summary Form must be completed, downloaded and submitted to the AAPI Portal (www.portal.appicas.org) along with the APPIC intern application and a sample of a de-identified psychological assessment report.
For information regarding Master’s Level (MFT, MSW) clinical internships, please contact your school’s training director.
