We believe everyone has the right to access mental health treatment, your gift, no matter how big or small, will make a tremendous difference.

The Guidance Center has been leading children and families to a brighter future since 1946, providing quality and comprehensive mental health care to over 3,000 children and families each year in the communities of Long Beach, Compton, San Pedro, and Avalon.

15 million

An estimated 15 million of our nation’s young people can currently be diagnosed with a mental health disorder.

Social Hour

The community plays a critical part in the success of our It’s About T.I.M.E. program, a trauma-informed movement spreading throughout Long Beach and in local schools. We need your support so that more educators can be equipped with the trauma-informed lens and Calming Toolkits, meaning more students can be supported through trauma-informed relationships. Join us for our annual Social Hour this spring to benefit Trauma-Informed Movement in Education at Long Beach Unified School District schools. We are so excited to announce that our 3rd annual It’s About T.I.M.E. Social Hour will be held at Liberation Brewing Co. in Long Beach on Thursday, May 16, 5:30pm – 7:30 pm.
