Everyone Has A Journey is this year’s theme for Sunset Sip, and what a journey these past months have been. Our clients, our staff, our supporters and our surrounding communities have all been navigating through life in a new way we never predicted. Although this has been a universal experience, each individual, child or adult, has their own journey unique to them. Each journey is a story of what you have learned, how you have grown and the hope that keeps you moving forward. It’s the process of becoming healthy and happy.

In part three of this video series, Explaining Everyone Has A Journey, Debbie Lambert, Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS) shares a heartfelt message to our community.

“Journey means to me your walk of life,” said Lambert. “I say to you, embrace the journey, embrace your life.”

Here at The Guidance Center, “we encourage our family members to love themselves wholly and completely,” she said. “We give them hope that even though the road is tough and their pathway seems so unusually stricken with potholes and with side turns and interruptions and construction that just tears up their pathway. We give them hope that they will overcome, that they will see better days.”

On your journey you may get bumps and bruises, but Debbie shares that it is important to go through the process. “We learned, we grew and it was amazing and fantastic,” said Debbie.
